2013 Spring Community Shredding Day A Success
QUINNIPIAC BANK & TRUST COLLECTS 15 BOXES
OF FOOD AND
$600 IN DONATIONS
FOR LOCAL FOOD BANKS AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS
Hamden - Quinnipiac Bank & Trust recently held
another free shredding event at its current office at 2600 Dixwell Avenue.
16,000 pounds of documents and other articles were shredded by the
professional ProShred Company. Fifteen boxes of food items were also
collected, together with $600 in cash donations. Contributions in cash are
sent to New Haven Home Recovery, Bikes for Kids, and St. Martin DePorres
Academy.
"We conduct the shredding event as a
contribution from our bank to the community," said Mark Candido, President &
CEO. "All area residents, business people, neighbors and customers were
invited. Our friends at Whitney Donut and Sandwich Shop provided coffee and
donuts."
Present at the shredding were many of the bank's
management and staff, including Mark Candido, President and Dick Barredo,
Executive V.P. "A community bank should show community spirit," Candido
commented. "We feel it's part of the bank's responsibility to contribute
time to the community, even on weekends if necessary."
Thanks from all the staff at Quinnipiac Bank!
