QBT Customers Safe and Secure from Heartbleed Bug

April 8, 2014

On April 7, 2014, the world became aware of The Heartbleed Bug.  "This major new security vulnerability has had severe implications for the entire Web. The bug can scrape a server's memory, where sensitive user data is stored, including private data such as usernames, passwords, and credit card numbers," according to c|net. "It's an extremely serious issue, affecting some 500,000 Web sites, according to Netcraft, an Internet research firm."

Quinnipiac Bank and Trust Company customers should not be alarmed about their accounts and online access of those accounts.  We have received communications from our partners at COCC and ACI Worldwide (formerly On Line Resources) that no vulnerabilities have been detected.
