Mark Candido Awarded Small Business Person of the Year

Closing out its third year as Southern Connecticut's most prominent new community bank, Quinnipiac Bank and Trusts' president, Mark Candido, was awarded "Small Business Person of the Year."

Business New Haven, the regions' venerable business publication, hosts its annual Civic Awards in March.  Candido is one of seven professionals cited with awards for both successful business practices and individual contributions on personal and corporate "giving" to the community.

Candido is a veteran banker in the Connecticut marketplace and has led Quinnipiac Bank &Trust to more than $56,000,000 in total assets during the bank's three year tenure.  He credits a strong business environment in the New Haven area and the bank's ability to attract many and diverse business accounts to the young bank.

"We're locally owned and managed, with no financial hierarchy to report to.  We're a bank that calls its own shots.  That's very appealing to people.  Our Board of Directors continues to be most supportive with our efforts to grow and support the communities in which we do business,"  Candido said.
