The Directors of Quinnipiac Bank & Trust Company are individuals who live and work in this area, and who share our vision of offering high quality, personalized services to our neighbors.

We are proud members of three Chambers of Commerce. We do all of the “Right Things” that a Community Bank should do to serve its community. We are solid representatives of the many towns we do business in.

Quinnipiac Bank & Trust Company was conceived in 2005 by Mark A. Candido, President and Richard R. Barredo, Executive Vice President, who, together have more than 60 years’ experience in banking. Mark has worked for First Bank, Connecticut National Bank, The Bank of New Haven and is currently Chairman of The Connecticut Community Investment Corporation. Dick has worked for State National Bank, Connecticut National Bank, The Bank of New Haven, the Connecticut Development Authority and Connecticut Innovations Inc.

Mark and Dick were each senior managers at The Bank of New Haven until it was purchased by another bank in 1997. When they saw their former community-oriented bank become part of a larger and more impersonal institution, they knew something important had been lost. Now, Mark and Dick, along with a dedicated core group of local Directors, have created a new independent Commercial Bank with a real focus on individuals and local businesses.
